Monsarrat Ave Shave Ice in Oahu

Not your typical shave ice place. The flavors have a Japanese sensibility to them. Lightly sweetened, you can taste the main ingredient. The syrups are more like sauces which seem almost gourmet compared to the colorful sugary stuff you find elsewhere. It does cost a little more than other places but the quality and the attention to detail put into the shave ice makes it well worth it.

Best shave ice in Hawaii, hands down. Generous portions, organic/natural flavorings and a good spread of toppings. Definitely consider a scoop of vanilla with whichever flavors you choose.

Definitely a great find if you're looking for shave ice or a treat after your meal or beach sesh. This gem is located next to Pioneer Kitchen on Monsarrat. $5 a bowl for one or two flavors... Extra of you want any add-ons. But, the condensed milk is free so get it!!! The consistency is smooth and the syrups are divine! I love the real-fruit flavor and the chunks of fruit. This one is not to be missed!
